Green Week 2014
The European Commission Representation in Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology invite you to attend a Green Week event:
Environmental Tax Reform in Times of Economic Crisis: What Are the Prospects?
The event will be held on Friday, 6 June at the EU House, 30 Vyronos Avenue, Nicosia, Cyprus as a Green Week 2014 satellite event.
Environmental fiscal reform can shift the focus of government taxes and levies from labour and income to environmentally harmful and resource-depleting activities. The importance of environmental taxation is even more pronounced in countries such as Cyprus, which faces a serious financial and fiscal crisis. This event will address the future prospects of green tax reform in times of economic crisis. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English and Greek.
